CHAMPAGNE ESTERLIN
Who are we
In 1948 three families gathered in Mancy, a village situated in the south hillsides of Epernay near the Cote des Blancs, for a common champagne production project. They then brought together 29 members over an area of 23 hectares. The cooperative has since grown considerably and has developed on the renowned Sézannais Hillsides and Marne Valley. Today the House relies on nearly 200 members who strive to cultivate and harvest the best grapes on a 110 hectares vineyard. The head office is located on the famous Avenue de Champagne in the heart of Epernay. Esterlin is recognized for its selective distribution and the quality of its wines with particular characteristics. The vineyards A champagne house strength comes from its capabilities of procurement and quality control over its grapes, and Esterlin has today the capacity to source on 110 hectares spread over 52 villages to The winegrower members work together on a daily basis to produce only the best for their brand, Champagne Esterlin. The house also has its own vineyards of 11 hectares certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) All these terroirs lying on clay and limestone soils, give the opportunity to get a wide range of colors to craft great blends The wines All our wines are vinified without malolactic fermentation to guarantee freshness, intensity and a good ageing potential. As such they benefit from an extended aging time for minimum of 5 years. This time allows the wines to acquire greater aromatic and taste complexity, conferring interesting tertiary notes. The reserve wines are issued from a Solera initiated in 1972. Of exceptional quality, it is probably the oldest Solera in Champagnes. It brings to our non-vintage wines a higher density as well as a rich and complex body. Esterlin also uses oak barrels for its prestige cuvée Cléo Blanc de Blancs 2012
