Who are we

Château Ballan-Larquette and Domaine de Ricaud are family-owned estates for several generations. The family company Vignobles Chaigne et Fils was created in 1992 while Régis Chaigne joined his parents to take care of the family's vineyards. 2009, various high quality plots were acquired in the Entre-deux-Mers region, including the ones that are currently used for the production of the Encore Soif cuvée. Today, the vineyard totals 27 hectares of vines spread over perfectly exposed terroirs, including 7 hectares dedicated to white grape varieties. The property is located in the heart of Entre Deux Mers, between the Garonne and the Dordogne, in the Gironde department. We are 45 km south-east of Bordeaux, 30 km south of St Emilion and 20 km north of Sauternes. Our plots benefit from the Bordeaux Controled Appellation (red, rosé, clairet, white), Bordeaux Supérieur and Entre deux Mers. With the aim of providing a taste pleasure, we strive to showcase our magnificent terroir to make dreams come true and reveal emotions to consumers, while respecting human values and with a concern for sustainability. Obtaining the High Environmental Value label 2018 and the conversion to organic farming since August 2019 materialize our environmental commitments. In addition to environmental awareness, we attach particular importance to value for money of our wines as well as the respect of margins to our commercial intermediaries.Our trading company, Vignobles Chaigne et Cie, allows us to complete our offer with the wines from a few producer partners working with the same state of mind as us with complementary appellations: Médoc, Côtes du Rhône, Saint-Emilion, Sauternes, Côtes de Blaye, IGP Comté Tolosan, etc. Anchored in our terroir, we are passionate about international scale and the discovery of cultures as diverse as those of the United Kingdom, China, the United States, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia or Benin. Thanks to interactions on social networks, meetings at the property or at trade fairs, we understand the needs of our customers, which allows us to build up our customers loyalty throught the quality of our wines, of our packagings and of our services. Our distributor partners are our ambassadors on a daily basis, essential relays to share our passion with a large national, european and international audience.
