Who are we

Maison Bache-Gabrielsen, was created in 1905 by a young Norwegian lieutenant who felt in love with a beautiful French woman. Since then and thanks to an unscathed curiosity, the Maison works on exploring the vast territory of cognac. Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen, representative of the 4th generation, has been managing the company since 2009 alongside Jean-Philippe Bergier, cellar master of the Maison since more than thirty years. Between Scandinavian roots and French traditions, Bache-Gabrielsen’s bicultural heritage has contributed to shape the values of the Maison: innovation, authenticity and passion. Exporting to 35 countries across the world, the brand is recognized for its innovation within the cognac category, notably when blending the very first cognac ever aged in American oak barrels. This innovation, made possible through experience and savoir-faire, has brought a breath of fresh air to the Cognac world. Working closely with the vineyards, distilleries and cooperage partners, Maison Bache-Gabrielsen is constantly looking to perfect its expertise and widen its horizons with other spirits.
