Who are we

The Christophe Semaska Estate was founded in 1988 and has continued to progress ever since — either by acquiring new plots that offer new terroirs of expression, or by working with partner winegrowers who share the same love for the vine and for high-quality products. The first hectares of Côte-Rôtie planted on these perfectly exposed hillsides, benefiting from an ideal terroir, allowed Christophe Semaska, a self-taught winemaker, to launch his first cuvées. Over time, he expanded his range, seeking out new terroirs, greater complexity, new combinations, and ever more subtle balances… Thus, over the years, in addition to Côte-Rôtie, the Estate has broadened its palette of appellations: Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Rasteau, Côtes-du-Rhône, IGP Côteaux de Vienne, and Vins de France. Today, 15 hectares of vines allow Christophe and Clément Semaska to craft beautiful interpretations, creating variations while always taking into account climate evolution (rainfall, temperatures). Each cuvée must express a distinct character and tell a story. Each plot is unique and receives the utmost care from the Estate’s team.
