Who are we
Frenchies Wines is the marketing arm for the wines from our vineyards and signature wines. The 2 international critics Mr. Gilbert and Mr. Gaillard, also founders of the guide and then of the Gilbert&Gaillard International Challenge, became the owners of 2 vineyards which they both transformed to lead them towards excellence. Château Gilbert&Gaillard is located in Languedoc in the Saint-Chinian appellation and Château de Thésée in the Loire Valley in AOC Touraine and Touraine-Chenonceaux. Drawing on their expertise and surrounded by their children, they have also created ranges of wines such as “Terre Sauvage” organic single varietal from Pays d’OC or “Tales” authentic wines from South Africa. Last but not least, the famous Gilbert cognac created in 1885 by Séverin Gilbert which was resurrected by his great-great-grandson François Gilbert with the desire to preserve the recipe that made it successful.
