Who are we
Built in the 14th century and bearing witness to the history of Languedoc, Château Bas d'Aumelas is a vineyard property located approximately thirty kilometers from Montpellier. For nearly two centuries, the estate has remained in the ownership of the d'Albenas family, passed down from generation to generation. Currently, Jean-Philippe and Geoffroy d'Albenas represent the 20th generation of winemakers, thus perpetuating a long family tradition. These enthusiasts carefully cultivate 20 hectares of vines in the "Grès de Montpellier" AOC using organic farming methods, within a classified natural park. As the highest point of the appellation, the vines, planted at 350 meters in altitude, take advantage of this exceptional geographical location to produce wines that combine the liveliness and the freshness of the fruits with the distinctive authenticity of our terroir.
