Who are we
A Long Fruit Tradition It is in heart of the Aquitaine orchards, at Villeneuve-sur-Lot, that Pierre Chabrié created a jam factory directly inspired by the culinary and gastronomic talent of the South-West, in the early 1960s. In 2005, it was a native of the area, Jean Verdier, keen to preserve the culture of his region who took it over, after founding Naturgie 30 years ago. While respecting tradition, he wanted to continue to offer the best of the fruit thanks to quality and innovative organic products. For almost 60 years, Naturgie has been perpetuating this jam-making know-how, the secret of which is based on a process of gentle cooking of the fruits, at low temperature, allowing all their flavors to be preserved. Naturgie is committed to offering healthy products with less sugar to meet consumer expectations. A wide range with preparations made 100% from fruit, less sweet jams or even our range without added sugars allowing you to obtain a lower glycemic index. Naturgie strives to favor local supplies from the French production area. We select our raw materials of choice according to their origin, their variety but also according to their organoleptic qualities. Thanks to its partnerships, Naturgie guarantees rigorous monitoring of quality, from the producer to the processing of the fruits in its workshop in Villeneuve-sur-lot. As such, Naturgie has been IFS (Internation Food Standards) certified since 2010. Since 2017, we have been renewing our Sustainable Bioenterprise labeling and strengthening our Social Responsibility actions in our CSR approach. We are therefore keen to remind you of our CSR policy based on 4 pillars: - Feed people with gourmet products, - Minimize the impact of our activity on nature, - Provide our teams with a framework and a working atmosphere where everyone feels good, - Develop sustainable growth and maintain, with our partners, relationships based on trust and transparency. With this in mind, we are maintaining our investment program to reduce our water consumption and recover energy.
