Who are we
It was in 1531 that the Benedictine monks of St Hilaire Abbey, a neighboring commune of Limoux, produced the world's first sparkling wine, marking the birth of sparkling wines. Impressed by this wine, the Lord of d'Arques drank bottles of Blanquette to celebrate his victories. Four centuries later, in 1946, the founding winemakers named their cellar Sieur d'Arques. Since that day, the House has continued the work of its remarkable artisans, eager to share their ancestral knowledge with all lovers of exceptional wines.
