French living in Motion

France and home furnishings have always lived, and keep living, a loving story over the years.

The great hours of past centuries have made France famous for the excellence of its know-how and its cultural diversity, both in the way it designs and manufactures the objects and spaces of our living environments. The French Living in Motion expression is the result of a strong ambition of both the French Furniture and the French Design professional associations, to build an art of living on the move towards greater sustainability, creativity and innovation. 

The French Living in Motion expression is the standard-bearer for a creative industry where French furnishings and design come together to promote the singularity of French Art de vivre worldwide.

This movement, initiated by the CODIFAB, the professional committee for the development of French furniture and wood, supports the growth of our industry all around the world, and its values embodied by designers, manufacturers and all trades involved in French furnishings, stay in tune with the challenges of the 21st century.

The French furniture on the international scene

As an accelerator of its industry and ambassador of the French art of living abroad, The French Furniture Export Group (GEM) supports the development of French furniture and living space manufacturers in all their actions abroad.

The GEM organization has been founded by the French furniture industry and is a partner of the CODIFAB (Committee for the Development of the French Furniture and Wood Industries). Its mission is to accompany French furniture brands in their quest to conquer new markets and to promote the French art of living and French industrial excellence on foreign markets under the banner French Living in Motion.

The GEM supports the development of its member companies on international markets through collective projects.
