The Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) consists of the terminal bud and the following 2 leaves (fine picking). It is harvested in spring and its very dry scent is reminiscent of dried flowers, it goes wonderfully well with the fruity and delicate aromas of peach and apricot. White tea being a luxury commodity, the offering of tea remains in China a gesture of pure politeness and respect towards the visitor.
