This very old grape variety from Touraine produces a red wine with a strong character and a deep colour with purple highlights.
The nose reveals powerful aromas of ripe black fruits and morello cherries.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, with supple tannins and good length. Ideal with game and winter meat dishes, serve between 13 and 14°C.
Cellaring potential: 7 to 8 years.
