HECLA Rosé IGP Atlantique 2022

HECLA Rosé 2022 is made with 100% Merlot, typical red grape variety in the Bordeaux & Lot-et-Garonne areas. For this cuvée, the grapes were selected from the best vines of the family Estate. The clusters are meticulously harvested by night to benefit from cooler temperatures, optimizing the quality of the juices. A delicate pneumatic pressing is completed as soon as the grapes arrive at the winery. It allows the extraction of maximum freshness and fruit aromas in the musts. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the freshness and the fresh fruits aromas, typical of Merlot. The final blend results in a fresh and crisp rosé wine, with natural sweetness and concentrated fruit aromas. As for the tasting notes, this wine has a pretty salmon pink color, with luminous reflections; the nose is intense and slightly minty, with a fruity profile, especially blackcurrant and strawberry, combined with delicate notes of rose petals; the mouth is fresh, crisp and well-balanced, with persistent aromas of small red fruits, enhanced by notes of sour candy and ripe pears. We recommend pairing this rosé wine with pasta salads, paellas, baked salmon, crunchy vegetables, and fruits tarts.
