Heirs to a long Gascon tradition, Prince de Gascogne fruits in Armagnac offer a subtle balance between sweetness, aromatic intensity and richness.
Production
All our fruits in Armagnac are handcrafted in-house, following family recipes created by Jean Etchart, the third generation of the family. Each preparation carefully combines white Armagnac, artisanal sugar syrup and selected fruits – whether fresh, dried, in syrup or candied, depending on the recipe. This delicate combination brings out the full flavour of the fruit whilst allowing the finesse of the Armagnac to shine through.
*Mixed: for a tray of 6 small glasses, 2 prunes, 2 mirabelle plums and 2 cherries; and for a tray of 12 small glasses, 3 prunes, 3 mirabelle plums, 3 cherries and 3 raspberries.
Tasting & occasions
Fruit in Armagnac is perfect for many indulgent moments. It can be enjoyed on its own, as an aperitif or at the end of a meal, to fully appreciate its aromas. It also pairs wonderfully with many desserts: vanilla ice cream, brioche, French toast or homemade pastries. Their fragrant syrup can also be used to drizzle over a dessert or to flavour a bowl of ice cream.
Storage
Fruit in Armagnac should be stored at room temperature, ideally away from light to preserve the fruit’s natural colour. Dried or candied fruits, such as Agen prunes, figs, apricots or clementines, can be kept for several years, at least three years. Red fruits may change colour over time, but their flavour remains intact.
