The long-lasting cooling solution, thanks to its immediate and long-lasting cooling efficacy (in vivo tests), Frigydil® is the ideal active ingredient for providing an intense and long-lasting sensation of freshness without the irritating effects associated with menthol.

Frigydil® is a non-sensitizing menthyl lactate ester. Its chemical structure makes it technically less irritating than menthol while ensuring excellent skin compatibility, making it an ideal alternative to menthol for cosmetic formulations requiring a cooling effect.

Available in both oil-soluble and water-soluble versions, Frigydil® is easy to incorporate into a wide range of SkinCare, ScalpCare, BodyCare and MenCare formulations, particularly after-shave products. It delivers a genuine shot of freshness from the very first application, with a cooling sensation that lasts over time.

Frigydil® works by activating the TRPM8 thermoreceptors responsible for the perception of cold. Enhanced by its pleasant minty scent, this refreshing effect also helps soothe skin and scalp discomfort. Compared to menthol, Frigydil® delivers a significantly longer-lasting cooling effect (in vivo tests).
