• What is the Business France Marketplace ?

  The Business France Marketplace is a free B2B platform connecting international professional buyers with verified French suppliers with no transactions, no commissions, no fees.

  As a registered buyer, you get access to:

  • 50,000+ references across five sectors: Food & Beverage, Wellness & Beauty, Sports Solutions, Medical Devices, Style & Decor
  • An agenda of professional export events
• How is this different from other sourcing platforms ?

  The Business France Marketplace is backed by Business France and the French government, It is also a non transactional marketplace

Registration

• How do I create a buyer account ?

  Registration is open to any professional involved in buying or distributing products.

  1. Click "Log in / Sign up" on the homepage
  2. Choose "Create an account" in "New customers"
  3. Select "Create a buyer account"
  4. Enter your details: name, company, sector, phone number

  Your application will be reviewed by a Business France office within 72 business hours.

• What are the eligibility requirements ?

  The platform is open to legally registered companies with a genuine commercial activity. Every application is reviewed by our team before approval.

• What types of buyers are accepted ?

  The Marketplace is built for professionals directly involved in purchasing or distributing products:
  importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers or any company looking to add French references to their offer.

  Eligibility criteria may vary by country. Contact your local Business France office for details.

  Profiles with no direct link to a purchasing or distribution activity will not be approved.

Access

• How do I log in to my account ?

  Go to www.marketplace.businessfrance.fr/customer/account/login/ and sign in with your email and password.

• I've forgotten my password. What do I do ?

  Go to www.marketplace.businessfrance.fr/customer/account/forgotpassword/ and enter your email. You'll get a reset link shortly. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.

Search

• How do I search for a product ?

  Two ways:

  • Search bar: type what you are looking for : product name, category, use, ingredient… Then use the filters to narrow things down.
  • Homepage: browse directly by sector or product universe.
• I can't find what I'm looking for. Now what ?

  Our sourcing team can take it from there.

  Submit a sourcing request form (registered buyers only) on www.marketplace.businessfrance.fr/contact and tell us what you need. Our team and the Business France offices will get back to you with qualified supplier suggestions.

  This service is available to registered buyers only. Questions in the meantime? Use the contact form or reach out to your local Business France office.

• Can I filter by certification or label ?

  Yes. Use the "Label" filter in the search options to find certified products : Organic, AOP, Ecocert, and more. It's the fastest way to match your market or client requirements.

Messaging

• How does messaging work ?

  All your exchanges with suppliers are centralised in the messaging system. Access it via the envelope icon in the top-right corner of your account.

  You'll get an email notification for every new message, and your full conversation history is always there when you need it.

• What kinds of requests can I send to a supplier ?

  You can reach out in several ways depending on where you are in the process:

  • Quote request
  • Product information request
  • Sample request
  • Meeting request (in-person or at an event)
  • Company visit proposal

  You can also bookmark a supplier, they'll be notified.

  Every request lets you add context so the first exchange is straight to the point.

• How do I reply to a supplier ?

  Open the conversation in your Messages tab and click "Answer to the message". Write your reply and send it directly from the thread. Everything stays saved in the conversation history.

Notification

• I'm not getting notifications. What's wrong ?

  A few things to check first:

  • Your spam or junk folder
  • The email address on your account
  • Your notification settings

  Still nothing? Email us at chloe.p@mail.businessfrance.fr with your account ID and we'll sort it out.

• How do I know if a supplier has replied ?

  You'll get an email notification for every new reply. You can also check all your active conversations anytime in the Messages tab.

Events

• Where do I find upcoming Business France events ?

  Head to the "Events" tab on the platform. You'll find upcoming events and past editions, with filters by country, sector, and more.

• How do I register for an event ?

  Find the event in the "Events" tab, open its page, and click "Get in touch". The Business France office in your country will follow up to confirm your registration.

  You can also search for events directly from the platform's search bar.

• How do I access supplier catalogues at an event ?

  Click on an event to open its page, it's organised into three sections: Details, Sellers and Products.

  • Sellers: see who's exhibiting and access their profiles
  • Products: browse exhibitor catalogues

  From any supplier's profile, the "Where we can meet" section also shows which events they're attending, with a direct link to their e-catalogue.

• I'm looking for a specific product that's not on the platform. Can you help ?

  Yes. Our sourcing team can step in directly.

  Fill in a sourcing request form (registered buyers only) and tell us what you're looking for.
  We'll identify suitable French suppliers and get back to you.
