Famille Lafont - Tavel
Famille Lafont Tavel is a refined expression of the world's first rosé-only appellation, crafted in the heart of the Southern Rhône Valley.
Produced from a traditional blend of Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Picpoul Rouge, Picpoul Blanc, Clairette and Syrah, it reflects the unique character of Tavel's sandy and stony terroirs, which bring both aromatic finesse and remarkable structure.
Hand-harvested grapes undergo a 24-hour skin maceration before gentle pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine's freshness and purity.
Its brilliant garnet-pink colour introduces an expressive bouquet of ripe strawberry, fresh rhubarb and delicate spices.
The palate is generous and rounded, with a silky texture, vibrant freshness and a long, harmonious finish.
More structured than most rosés, this gastronomic wine pairs beautifully with spicy world cuisine, grilled fish, lamb, grilled meats and rich Mediterranean dishes.
It also offers excellent ageing potential of 5 years or more, making it a distinctive and versatile rosé.
