Famille Lafont - Gigondas
Famille Lafont Gigondas is a distinguished expression of one of the Southern Rhône Valley's most prestigious crus.
Crafted from a blend of 74% Grenache Noir, 25% Cinsault and 1% Mourvèdre, this wine reflects the exceptional terroir of the Dentelles de Montmirail, where limestone soils and a unique microclimate bring remarkable freshness, elegance and complexity.
Hand-harvested from carefully selected parcels, the grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration before traditional vinification in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts. Gentle extraction techniques preserve the purity of the fruit, while 18 months of ageing in concrete tanks enhance structure and harmony.
The wine reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits, garrigue and black pepper, followed by a broad and generous palate with silky tannins, mineral freshness and a long finish accented by notes of liquorice and violet.
A perfect companion to grilled rib steak, roast lamb, duck breast, game dishes and wild mushrooms, this Gigondas also offers an outstanding ageing potential of 20 years or more.
