Famille Ladont - Lirac
Famille Lafont Lirac Rouge is a refined expression of one of the Southern Rhône Valley's most prestigious crus.
Crafted from a harmonious blend of Grenache Noir (70%), Syrah (10%), Mourvèdre (10%) and Cinsault (10%), it reflects the unique character of Lirac's iconic rolled pebble and sandy soils.
Hand-harvested from carefully selected parcels, the grapes are vinified in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts to preserve the purity and authenticity of the fruit.
Gentle extraction techniques and 18 months of ageing, including 20% in seasoned oak barrels, create a wine of remarkable balance, elegance, and complexity.
Rich aromas of ripe black fruits, subtle spices and Mediterranean herbs lead to a full-bodied palate with silky tannins, freshness and a long, refined finish.
This versatile wine pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, duck breast, roast lamb, game dishes and wild mushrooms, while offering excellent ageing potential of 20 years or more.
