Château Bel-Air AOP Bordeaux Red 2021
Château Bel-Air Red 2021 is a blend of the typical grapes varieties from the Bordeaux area: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc. Grapes are selected from the best vines of the family property: clusters are meticulously picked, destemmed on the plot, and then crushed when they arrive at the winery. Each grape variety is vinified separately. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to optimize the extraction of color, fruit aromas and tannins. For this cuvée, the wines used in the blend have aged for a minimum of 6 months, in contact with French oak staves and chips. The final blend results in a full-body wine, where the oak is supporting the fruit, very well-balanced with the acidity due to the vintage’s conditions and well-integrated tannins. As for the tasting notes, this wine has a dark purple red color; the nose is reveals a complex combination of red fruits and forest fruits, supported by a delicate woody presence with hints of toast and pastry; the mouth is straight and balanced, with aromas of blueberry tart, leaning on young tannins. The finish is delicate with a fine mineral freshness. We recommend pairing this red wine with spicy foods, meats with sauce, crunchy vegetables, mashed potatoes and cheese.
