Production & Ageing

We created the Heritage collection with the aim of showcasing remarkable vintages, each with its own distinct character. The 2013 vintage is one of the purest, most authentic and traditional expressions of our Gascon terroir.

History

Every autumn, Gascon winegrowers set aside a portion of their precious harvest. Reserved for Armagnac, it is distilled and placed in oak casks for several decades. Thus, hundreds of vintages lie dormant, passed down from generation to generation, ageing out of sight. The assurance that, should difficulties arise, there is a nest egg at the back of the cellar. This is the tradition of the Armagnac nest egg.

Tasting & moments

Coppery colour with golden highlights. Rich and sweet on the nose, with notes of caramel, vanilla and dried fruit. Light and round on the palate, with oak, vanilla and nutty notes. The finish is long and smooth, with hints of nut.

Award

Rated 93/100 by Terres de Vins Magazine “Disruptive packaging, an original product, well-balanced, striking a balance between sweetness and spice, velvety on the palate, lovely richness, freshness supporting it from start to finish – it’s a lovely discovery. A balanced, silky, indulgent Armagnac, yet with depth. One to watch closely. ”

2013, the year of...

Daft Punk released their latest hit, ‘Get Lucky’ was everywhere, Leonardo DiCaprio became Gatsby, the PS4 arrived in living rooms and France discovered 4G.

Bottling & Storage

Our vintages are bottled as late as possible to prolong their ageing in wood and refine their expression. The bottling date is indicated on each bottle. Once balance is achieved, certain vintages are stored in glass: the Armagnac then ceases to evolve, but fully retains its character.

Remember to protect your Armagnac from fluctuations in temperature or light, which could cause it to deteriorate. Keep your bottle upright to preserve the cork.
