A vintage Armagnac of great finesse, with delicate floral notes. Complex, smooth and elegant, it evokes an old-fashioned, subtle and lingering fragrance.
Production & Ageing
Born out of our desire to showcase our finest vintages, the Heritage collection also aims to highlight their diversity. The 1980 vintage best embodies the great finesse found in certain Armagnacs with floral profiles.
History
Every autumn, Gascon winegrowers set aside a portion of their precious harvest. Reserved for Armagnac, it is distilled and placed in oak casks for several decades. Thus, hundreds of vintages lie dormant, passed down from generation to generation, ageing out of sight. The assurance that, should difficulties arise, there is a nest egg at the back of the cellar. This is the tradition of the Armagnac nest egg.
Tasting & Moments
Amber colour with mahogany highlights. Oaky nose with vanilla and leather notes. Rich and warm on the palate, oaky with floral notes. A lingering finish.
1980, the year of…
ABBA ruled the airwaves, The Shining sent shivers down the spines of film buffs worldwide, Pac-Man arrived in arcades and La Boum swept French youth off their feet.
Bottling & Storage
Our vintages are bottled as late as possible to prolong their ageing in wood and refine their expression.
The bottling date is indicated on each bottle. Once balance is achieved, certain vintages are stored in glass: the Armagnac then ceases to evolve, but fully retains its character.
